Version 1.3.2 of the Indy program addresses two problems with the validation features that are available through the Advanced Options item of the File menu. The validation features available in that menu are generally only useful to people who are creating their own magazine indexes. A. Additional context information was added to any errors that are reported by the Validate Index Records feature. The entire record that contains the error is now printed out. Previously, only the record number and field number were cited. The additional context information makes it easier to find the bad record in the Index Records file. (The record number reported in the error message is affected by blank lines and comment lines in the file, and because of that, only gets a person close to the bad record.) B. The Check For Chaff feature was enhanced to catch the case where an image filename on the hard drive was a proper subset of the filename listed in an Index Record. Previously, the feature would not have declared a file named "abcdef" chaff if there was reference to a file named "abcdefghi" in the Index Record file. It would have incorrectly ignored the fact that the two filenames were not exactly the same.
